Volleyball Recap: Southeast Comes Up Short

Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers, falling 3-0. If the Lancers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Southeast took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-12, 25-13.

Braelyn Sutton paced Southeast's offense, picking up three kills. Sutton got some help from Elena White and her five assists. Sutton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Southeast will take on Oswego at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, they are taking a road trip to face off against Girard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Panthers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
