Basketball Game Preview: Carlin Railroaders vs. Westwood Lumberjacks

The Carlin Railroaders and the Westwood Lumberjacks will face off at 9:45 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.

Carlin saw some tournament action on Thursday. They were dealt a 58-23 loss at the hands of Whittell. The Railroaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westwood). They claimed a resounding 77-28 win over Non Varsity Tournament Opponent. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lumberjacks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Carlin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Westwood, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Carlin couldn't quite finish off Westwood when the teams last played back in December of 2023 and fell 36-34. Can Carlin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
