Basketball Recap: Tompkins Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tompkins can now relate to. They fell 47-35 to the Fulshear Chargers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Chargers are ranked 72nd).

It was another big night for Ruke Ogbevire, who went 8-for-15 en route to 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals for Fulshear. Another player making a difference was Pfeiffer Greene, who posted nine points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Tompkins' loss dropped their record down to 21-15. As for Fulshear, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 28-7.

Tompkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fulshear, they have already played their next match, a 59-47 win against Stratford on the 13th.
