Basketball Recap: South Harrison Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Harrison can now relate to. They took a blow against the Ritchie County Rebels on Friday, falling 75-44. The Hawks just can't catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row.

Ritchie County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elsa Law out in front who posted 17 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. Law is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. Rae Rupert was another key player, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

South Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Ritchie County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.

South Harrison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ritchie County, they will challenge Doddridge County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
