Recap: Lincoln Trojans vs. Leon Lions
In what's become a running theme this season, the Lincoln Trojans gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Leon 68-31 at home. The win was familiar territory for Lincoln who now have five in a row.
Lincoln's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamiya Brown led the charge by scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Amari Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with eight steals and six rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Leon saw an underclassman step up: Mary grace Parker scored eight points along with two steals.
Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Leon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Lincoln will head out on the road to square off against Florida State University High School at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Florida State University High School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Lincoln is ranked 106th). As for Leon, they will be playing at home against Andrew Jackson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
