Delmar is 7-1 against Laurel since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats will challenge the Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m.

On Friday, Delmar didn't have quite enough to beat Decatur and fell 4-3. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Delmar saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robert McCabe, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Laurel). They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Nandua on Friday.

Koby Shockley made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Shockley was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those runs were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Connor Smith was a standout: he scored two runs while going 2-for-4. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Matt Givens was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Delmar's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Laurel, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Delmar suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Laurel in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
