Volleyball Game Preview: Silverdale Academy Seahawks vs. Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers

The Silverdale Academy Seahawks will take on the Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Silverdale Academy's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Boyd-Buchanan has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Silverdale Academy won the last time they faced CSTHEA and Emily Givens did her part to make sure it happened again. The Seahawks blew past the Patriots 3-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to Givens, who had seven digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Boyd-Buchanan made easy work of Grace Baptist Academy on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-7, 25-17.

Boyd-Buchanan's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Silverdale Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 22-6.

Silverdale Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Boyd-Buchanan when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Seahawks repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
