First Presbyterian Day extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday, bumping them up to 13-3. They came out on top against the Tattnall Square Academy Trojans by a score of 11-8. 11 seems to be a good number for the Vikings as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Gracyn Fuller made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 16 batters over nine innings while giving up seven earned runs off ten hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Arnold, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Jessica Jones was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.

As for Tattnall Square Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this match were averaging 3.82 runs allowed.

On Tattnall Square Academy's side, Callie Still spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered nine earned runs on 12 hits and racked up 14 Ks.

On the hitting side, Mercer West made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Tensley Cleghorn, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

First Presbyterian Day and Tattnall Square Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Vikings (ranked 70th) will meet Mount de Sales Academy (ranked 364th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tattnall Square Academy will challenge Piedmont Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (75 vs. 318).
