Baseball Recap: Everman Takes a Loss

Everman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Granbury Pirates. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly five runs.

Kevin Acosta was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Bustos, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Everman's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Granbury, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.

Coming up, Everman will face off against Brewer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Granbury, they will head out on the road to square off against Fossil Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
