Basketball Recap: Marksville Find Success

Marksville hadn't done well against Brusly recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Marksville Tigers slipped by the Brusly Panthers 52-51. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Panthers back in November of 2024, they had to take a 47-32 loss.

Marksville's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-9. As for Brusly, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-14 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Marksville Tigers challenge the Bunkie Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Brusly, they will host Bourgeois at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
