Softball Recap: Clarkston Comes Up Short

If Clarkston was riding high fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Detroit Country Day on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves came up short against the Marian Mustangs on Friday, falling 13-7.

Clarkston saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leanne Scanlon, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Another was Reagen Allen, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Clarkston has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-13-1 record this season. As for Marian, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarkston will take on Holly at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marian, they will square off against St. Mary's Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
