Volleyball Recap: Fairless' Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

If Fairless was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Sandy Valley last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons fell 3-1 to the Union Local Jets on Tuesday. The Falcons were not able to make up for their loss to the Jets from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 22-25, 25-13, 25-20.

Ella Wade paced Fairless' offense, picking up 15 kills. Wade really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 17. Preslie Wilson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Union Local was led to victory by Delaney Butler and Brooklyn Burley. Butler hit 83.3% for five kills and 45 assists and 17 digs, while Burley had three aces. Butler is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 44 games she's played dating back to last season.

The defeat snapped Fairless' winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 18-7 record. As for Union Local, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Fairless does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Union Local, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Tuscarawas Valley on the 23rd.
