Softball Recap: Danville Falls Short of Mahomet-Seymour in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Danville can now relate to. They fell just short of the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Vikings' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Kendall Rannenbarger spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Danville's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Mahomet-Seymour, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-16.

As of now, neither Danville nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
