Football Game Preview: Prairie Grove Tigers vs. Warren Lumberjacks + Official Tickets

The Prairie Grove Tigers will face off against the Warren Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Prairie Grove is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 27-20 victory over Pocahontas.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Elijah Sugg and Blake Coughran. Sugg rushed for 206 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.6 yards per carry while Coughran rushed for 144 yards and two TDs while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Coughran has become a key player for Prairie Grove: the team is 7-2 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.

Prairie Grove was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 402 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 181 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Warren posted their closest win since September 26th on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Gosnell, sneaking past 44-42.

Prairie Grove better keep an eye on Jackson Denton. He was instrumental in Warren's win, throwing for 403 yards and five touchdowns. Denton is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last eight games he's played.

Prairie Grove's record is now 7-5. As for Warren, their record now sits at 9-3.

Prairie Grove might still be hurting after the 35-13 defeat they got from Warren in their previous matchup back in November of 2017. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
