Soccer Game Preview: New Kent vs. Bruton

New Kent is 1-9 against Bruton since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. New Kent is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

New Kent's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Colonial Heights.

Diego Jimenez was the driving force of New Kent's attack as he scored both of New Kent's goals, bringing his season total up to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Bruton didn't have quite enough to beat Jamestown on Thursday and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Bruton have lost by just one goal.

New Kent's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Bruton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1.

New Kent couldn't quite get it done against Bruton when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 3-1. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
