Football Recap: Mountain View Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lovell + How To Watch

Mountain View had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Lovell Bulldogs, posting a 52-14 win. The result was nothing new for the Buffalos, who have now won eight matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.

Justus Platts had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 217 yards and four TDs on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 66 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Mountain View's leading receiver Ashton Colangelo was Platts' top target yet again, picking up 127 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mountain View was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 280 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 207 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Lovell's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Matthew Newman, who gained 136 total yards, and Kyson Crosby, who threw for 127 yards and two touchdowns while completing 92.9% of his passes. Newman also put up a receiving touchdown, which was his first of the season.

Mountain View's record is now 11-0. As for Lovell, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.

Coming up, Mountain View will challenge Big Horn at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buffalos will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight games. Lovell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
