Soccer Game Preview: Beecher vs. Wilmington

The Beecher Bobcats will take on the Wilmington Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Wilmington took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Beecher, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Beecher made easy work of Coal City and carried off a 5-1 victory.

Wilmington kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 9-0 to Kankakee. Wilmington haven't had much luck with Kankakee recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Beecher was able to grind out a solid win over Wilmington in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, winning 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
