Softball Recap: Appleton West Comes Up Short

Appleton West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Hortonville Polar Bears, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Polar Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in April.

Appleton West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ali Raddatz, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Appleton West's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Hortonville, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Appleton West will host Manitowoc Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hortonville, they will welcome Oshkosh West at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
