Basketball Recap: Bennett Long Key Part of Team Effort in SONS Win

Anderson HomeSchool won against North Missouri HomeSchool last Monday with 52 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Anderson HomeSchool SONS walked away with a 52-45 victory over the Lake Houston HomeSchool Conquerors. Given the SONS' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 225th in Indiana, while the Conquerors are ranked 745th in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Anderson HomeSchool's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bennett Long, who went 8-for-16 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Clark Emly, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards.

Anderson HomeSchool was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They are 18-6 when they've passed the ball that well.

Anderson HomeSchool has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-15 record this season. Lake Houston HomeSchool is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Anderson HomeSchool wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-55 victory against Flathead Valley on the 12th. Lake Houston HomeSchool has also already played their next game (against East Valley Athletes for Christ), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
