It was a good run, but Regents unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-match winning streak on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to the Blue Ridge Christian Bears. Considering the last time the Lions couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Claire McMahon paced Regents' offense, picking up seven kills. McMahon got some help from Keely McReynolds and her 12 assists. Cameron Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Regents' defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 16-3. As for Blue Ridge Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Regents has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Faith Christian on the 20th. As for Blue Ridge Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Christian Heritage Academy on the 20th.
