Basketball Recap: Chris Janssen and Harrison Dority Secure Win for Denver Academy

Denver Academy won the last time they faced KIPP Denver Collegiate and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs took down the White Tigers 54-39.

Leading Denver Academy to victory were Harrison Dority and Chris Janssen. Dority almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards, while Janssen shot 4-for-7 from deep and dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. Janssen's morning made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Brenzikofer, who posted eight points.

Denver Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for KIPP Denver Collegiate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Denver Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-56 loss against Sheridan on the 6th. As for KIPP Denver Collegiate, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Vanguard Classical East at 7:00 p.m.
