Volleyball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Pettisville Blackbirds, falling 3-0. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blackbirds earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19, 25-10.

Despite the defeat, North Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mia Lawson had 13 digs and one assist.

North Central's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Pettisville, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

North Central will square off against Cardinal Stritch at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pettisville, after both having extra time off, they and Gorham Fayette will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
