Basketball Game Preview: Wapakoneta Redskins vs. St. Henry Redskins

The Wapakoneta Redskins and the St. Henry Redskins will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Wapakoneta will head into Friday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were beaten by Shawnee 63-33. While losing is never fun, the Redskins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 469th, while the Indians are ranked 19th).

Meanwhile, St. Henry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-45 heartbreaker at the hands of St. John's.

Wapakoneta will need focus on slowing down Austin Zimmerman, one of several St. Henry players who made an impact when they last played. He went 7 of 13 en route to 17 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Huelsman, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points.

Wapakoneta's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for St. Henry, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 6-9.
