Chillicothe put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Kirksville Tigers by a score of 8-3. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Chillicothe's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Kirksville, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chillicothe is headed away from home for the first time to take on Excelsior Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kirksville, they will head out to challenge Mexico at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
