Volleyball Recap: South Tahoe Wins Going Away Against Incline

South Tahoe's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Incline Highlanders with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Highlanders: they've now won six in a row.

While South Tahoe won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-23.

Viviana Wilson paced South Tahoe's offense, picking up 15 kills. Wilson got some help from Camdyn Maliska and her 27 assists. Maliska was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Incline lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was TAYLOR FINNE, who had eight digs and three blocks. She has been hot, having also posted 16 or more assists the last seven times she's played. LILI MORRISON was another key player, getting 20 digs and two aces.

South Tahoe's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Incline, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. South Tahoe will head out to face off against Wooster at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Incline, they will venture away from home to square off against Sparks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Highlanders are facing the Railroaders at the right time seeing as the Railroaders are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
