Volleyball Recap: Olympus Victorious

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Olympus walked away with it. They skirted past the Box Elder Bees 3-2. For the Titans, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Bees walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2021.

Olympus had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 21-25, 25-17, 27-25, 15-10.

Hailey DeMill paced Olympus' offense, picking up 18 kills. DeMill were helped by Senia Benson and Molly Hoon, who contributed 18 assists each. Hoon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The victory got Olympus back to even at 12-12. As for Box Elder, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-14.

Coming up, Olympus will take on Maple Mountain at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. Box Elder does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
