With a playoff win on the line, Murphysboro rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats. Considering Murphysboro have won 16 matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Anna-Jonesboro with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Izzy Doerr (5), Kate Guthman (2), Callie Decker, and Adyson Cunico.

The victory (which was Murphysboro's tenth in a row) raised their record to 19-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those ten matchups. As for Anna-Jonesboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-1.

Murphysboro has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Columbia on the 26th. Anna-Jonesboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
