Football Recap: Borrego Springs Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Borrego Springs and St. Joseph Academy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Borrego Springs had to settle for second. They were dealt a 68-13 loss at the hands of the Crusaders. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.

Although Borrego Springs took the loss, they still got scores from Christopher Alcaraz and Josef Rocha.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed seven in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Rocha, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Borrego Springs moved to 9-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for St. Joseph Academy, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

As of now, neither Borrego Springs nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
