Basketball Game Preview: Eastern Guilford Wildcats vs. Rockingham County Cougars

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Eastern Guilford Wildcats face off against the Rockingham County Cougars at 8:00 p.m. on Friday... Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Eastern Guilford saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 40-33 to Chatham Charter.

Meanwhile, Rockingham County played a tough contest last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 88-61 defeat at the hands of Reidsville. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (59), the Cougars still had to take the loss.

Rockingham County's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Eastern Guilford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Eastern Guilford lost to Rockingham County at home by a decisive 66-50 margin in their previous matchup back in February. Can Eastern Guilford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
