Soccer Game Preview: Madison East vs. Mukwonago

The Madison East Purgolders will venture away from home to face off against the Mukwonago Indians at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Madison East's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

While Madison East's victory against Madison La Follette wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Purgolders' defense stepped up to hand the Lancers a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. Madison East haven't had any issues with Madison La Follette recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Mukwonago made easy work of Badger on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. That's two games straight that Mukwonago have won by exactly three goals.

Madison East's record now sits at 4-6-1. As for Mukwonago, their record is now 4-5-3.

Madison East suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Mukwonago in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Purgolders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
