Volleyball Recap: Aspen's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Aspen had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Moffat County Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Skiers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Aspen not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Moffat County between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-16.

Andrea Lee paced Aspen's offense, picking up ten kills. Lee got some help from Belle Sinclair and her 16 assists. Lee also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mary Morse, each putting up three.

Aspen's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Moffat County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Aspen and KIPP Denver Collegiate will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Moffat County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
