Softball Recap: West Ouachita's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

With a playoff win on the line, West Ouachita rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Airline Vikings with a sharp 9-2 win. The Chiefs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The victory (which was West Ouachita's third in a row) raised their record to 20-15. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Airline, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-11.

Looking ahead, West Ouachita will square off against Dutchtown on Saturday. The Griffins will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Chiefs surely won't give up without a fight. Airline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
