Basketball Recap: Eupora Comes Up Short

Eupora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Choctaw County Chargers 54-21. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while the Chargers are ranked 118th).

Eupora's loss dropped their record down to 2-24. As for Choctaw County, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Eupora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Choctaw County, they will head out on the road to square off against East Webster at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
