After a string of seven wins, Joel Barlow's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Ridgefield Tigers by a score of 8-7. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Gavin Maryott made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. TJ Baer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Joel Barlow's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Ridgefield, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8.

Looking ahead, Joel Barlow will challenge Bunnell at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
