Owen Valley has gone 8-2 against Brown County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Patriots are headed away from home for the first time to challenge the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Brown County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Owen Valley, who comes in off a win.

Owen Valley was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against South Putnam on Tuesday. The Patriots put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 8-1 win. The Patriots not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 5, 2025 (when they won 15-0).

Meanwhile, Brown County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Eminence.

Brown County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Sanders, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Sanders' first of the season.

Owen Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Brown County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Owen Valley's way against Brown County when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Owen Valley made off with a 15-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
