Soccer Recap: Northview Takes a Loss

Northview fought the good fight in their overtime game against West Covina on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the West Covina Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Vikings' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Alexis Rivera and Jaylene Esteves scored both of Northview's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Northview now has a losing record at 5-6-1. As for West Covina, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-6-3.

Northview will venture away from home to square off against Charter Oak at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Covina, they will welcome Covina at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Covina's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
