Volleyball Recap: Trinity Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Addy Wingrove and Lainey Jackson

Trinity Christian dropped to 10-12 on Wednesday, ending the team's three-match streak of wins on the road. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Despite the loss, Trinity Christian had strong showings from Lainey Jackson, who had 25 digs and three aces, and Addy Wingrove, who had eight kills. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.

As for Clay-Battelle, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-16 record this season. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Clay-Battelle found their leader in sophomore Sophia Sandone, who had nine digs and two aces.

Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clay-Battelle, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Madonna on the 22nd.
