The Lincoln County Patriots will challenge the Danville Christian Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
On Wednesday, Lincoln County made easy work of Berea and carried off a 19-8 victory. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Madison Cassidy made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Lincoln County let Madilyn Wade and Autumn Durham run wild. Wade went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run, while Durham went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those four RBI gave Wade a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Siler, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Lincoln County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berea only posted an OBP of .345.
Meanwhile, Danville Christian Academy got the win against Eminence on Monday by a conclusive 16-1. Considering Danville Christian Academy has won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Danville Christian Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-8. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Lincoln County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-16.
Everything went Lincoln County's way against Danville Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in April, as Lincoln County made off with a 7-0 win. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
