Softball Recap: Sparta Comes Up Short

Sparta lost against Jenison on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Sparta came up short against Jenison, falling 12-2. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sparta saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ali Crum, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Sparta now has a losing record of 1-2. Jenison has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Sparta will venture away from home to challenge Reeths-Puffer at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Jenison, they will host Traverse City Central at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
