Baseball Recap: Eagle's Landing Takes a Loss

Eagle's Landing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the McDonough Warhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-12 last Wednesday.

Eagle's Landing saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was PJ Baker, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Eagle's Landing's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for McDonough, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Eagle's Landing wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 20-2 defeat against Ola on the 10th. As for McDonough, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-0 loss against Stockbridge on the 11th.
