Soccer Game Preview: Wheeling vs. Palatine

Wheeling is 0-7 against Palatine since April of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Wildcats will host the Pirates at 5:00 p.m. This will be Wheeling's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Wheeling is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals last Wednesday, they were much more limited against Conant on Wednesday. They lost 7-0 to the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Palatine kept a clean sheet against Hoffman Estates on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Hawks. It was an even better day for Jocelyn Bonilla as she scored three goals for her team.

Palatine now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wheeling, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Wheeling might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Palatine in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
