Football Recap: Clyde-Savannah Skates Past South Seneca with Ease

Clyde-Savannah never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the South Seneca Falcons 32-0. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won three games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Clyde-Savannah had a senior duo take command as John Whitfield rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry and Garrett Carr rushed for 152 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 79 yards.

Clyde-Savannah was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 321 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Clyde-Savannah didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Carr and Vincent Nicoletta. Carr also rushed for 152 rushing yards, which is notable because Clyde-Savannah is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Another thorn in South Seneca's side was Kayden Haig, who picked up a sack and made ten total tackles.

Clyde-Savannah's win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Clyde-Savannah wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 20-8 victory against Rochester Prep on the 18th. As for South Seneca, they have also already played their next matchup, a 26-16 win against Waterloo on the 17th.
