Baseball Recap: Warrensburg's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Sunday

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Warrensburg couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Greenwich Witches by a score of 5-4 on Sunday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Burgers of the 11-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

Warrensburg saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paul Moore, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Warrensburg moved to 17-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Greenwich, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-7.

As of now, neither Warrensburg nor the Witches have any future games scheduled.
