Basketball Recap: Mile High Academy Comes Up Short

Mile High Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Denver Academy of Torah Wolves. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly 11 points.

Denver Academy of Torah's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Kahn-Rose, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Ami Gelman, who had 12 points.

Mile High Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Denver Academy of Torah, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Mile High Academy will challenge Ascent Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mile High Academy is facing Ascent Classical Academy at the right time seeing as Ascent Classical Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Denver Academy of Torah, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Twin Peaks Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
