Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Carmel Golden Aces vs. Evansville Day Eagles

The Mt. Carmel Golden Aces will take on the Evansville Day Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Friday, Mt. Carmel came up short against Marshall and fell 54-41.

Meanwhile, Evansville Day was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 67-63 to Tecumseh. Even if the Eagles couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Evansville Day's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mt. Carmel, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Mt. Carmel didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Evansville Day when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 56-50 victory. Do the Golden Aces have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
