Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Demarcus White and Sema J Copeland Lead Central to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chattahoochee County, Central was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Schley County Wildcats by a score of 85-76. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 79-58 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Central was led to victory by Sema J Copeland and Demarcus White. Copeland posted 31 points, while White earned 30 points. White's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruben Henderson, who had nine points.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Schley County, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will square off against Webster County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Schley County, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Schley County Wildcats challenge the Chattahoochee County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chattahoochee County will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Schley County surely won't give up without a fight.
