Baseball Game Preview: More Knights vs. Pinewood Panthers

More is a perfect 10-0 against Pinewood since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The More Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Pinewood Panthers at 4:00 p.m. More's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Pinewood's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

More took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 13-1 margin over Pinewood. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Knights' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Sean Selway made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anthony Selway, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Tim Bumb also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Pinewood's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4. As for More, their record now sits at 2-3.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. More has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Pinewood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
