Soccer Recap: Pomperaug Takes a Loss

Pomperaug came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Bethel Wildcats, falling 4-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Bethel this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in September.

Pomperaug's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8-2. As for Bethel, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-1-2 record this season.

Pomperaug does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bethel, they are taking a road trip to take on Weston at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
