Archbishop McCarthy lost to Norland back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Mavericks walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Vikings. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mavericks.

It was another big night for Damien Grant, who rushed for 83 yards and one score. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Jeremiah Alexandre, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Archbishop McCarthy's record is now 5-1. As for Norland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coming up, after each having a week off, Archbishop McCarthy and Plantation will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Mavericks 15, the Colonels 12.6) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Norland, they have already played their next contest, a 28-6 win against Cocoa on the 3rd.
