Softball Recap: St. Michael Has No Trouble Against Valley

St. Michael won against Valley on Wednesday with 19 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. St. Michael put the hurt on Valley with a sharp 19-1 victory. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Denea Livingston was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Livingston was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.

In other batting news, Shannon Paul was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Ashley Johnson was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.

The victory got St. Michael back to even at 3-3. As for Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Michael will venture away from home to take on El Capitan at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Valley, they will head out to face off against Northland Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
